How many people do you think would believe this is a legitimate Windows message and go ahead and click the OK button? A lot, I would recon. The problem is, it's getting very hard for regular computer users to make a distinction between a real computer protection software warning message and a bogus one (if you are still doubting if the above image is a real one or a fake one, I can assure you it's a fake one). Almighty destructive powers Once you hit the OK button, your problems are only beginning. The system error dialog window that is showing on your screen is presented by a process running on your computer. Hitting the OK button is actually giving that process the rights to perform its tasks (and they usually don't have your best interest at heart). If you are logged on to your computer in an account with administrative rights over your computer, then things are even worse, since you then send of the malicious process to carry out its destructive tasks with almighty powers over your computer.
